The Miracle Of Aromatherapy

Stress No Comments »

Aromatherapy is one of the ancient methods of holistic healing dating back five thousand years. Aromatherapy is rooted in ancient civilians: Chinese, Greek Roman, Egyptian, and Indian. Since earlier period, people have used this therapy for both mental and physical. They had no thought of distillation at the beginning. Nevertheless, they finally learnt the skills using pots and heat.

Egyptians considered cedar wood was the best aromatic, because it was used in embalmment, perfumery and medicine. Cedar wood was one of the most luxurious in the entire ancient world. When, the scientists unwrapped a three thousand year old mummy, the aromas of myrrh and cedar wood smelled from the inner bandages.

Aromatherapy can be defined as the limited use of essential oils to maintain a positive change and promote bodily, emotional, mental and spiritual comfort. Can be defined as the ability of utilizing naturally extracted scented essences from flora to balance, harmonize and support the health of body, mind and spirit. Essential oils are volatile elements of aromatic flora extracted by steam distillation. Aromatherapy Includes bath, massages, inhales, candles, room and body perfume, hair shampoo, facial and skin care etc. Cover an extensive variety of natural healing, relaxing and uplifting aspects. However, the product contains essential oil is not always consider as aromatherapy. For example, many shampoos contain essential oils. But that is not aromatherapy. True aromatherapy would be when you select specific essential oils to put in to your shampoo for a particular purpose - to stimulate hair growth, fight a specific physiological condition of the scalp, and help refresh the mind, encourage remembrance, and help reduce stress before a big day.

On average, essential oils have a hundred components each at least, and some may have many more. Some believe that essential oils contain the essential power of plants, vitamins, hormones, enzymes, minerals, and the consciousness of the plant. These mixed components are what make the oils so useful in healing and perfuming. The benefits of aromatherapy can be gained only through applying or inhaling. Essential oils are commonly applied for massage or as perfume oil. They can be inhaled by using a diffuser, sniffed straight from the bottle or used in the bath or shower or through vapor and nebulizer. It is important to learn or understand the specific set of rules and guidelines before used for each drop are extremely strong. For example, essential oils must not be used with any added water, except by a clinically trained therapist. Dosages for the old people and the non adult should be considered carefully, and only oils that are pure, natural and derived from a well-known source should be applied for treatments.

Many massage therapists, nurses, beauticians, doctors, physiotherapists and other health care providers began using aromatherapy. In France, more than a thousand trained doctors apply essential oils as an option to antibiotics. Aromatherapy did not become popular in the United States until the 1980s, when essential oils got the attention of alternative practitioners, massage therapists, and the commercial industry. Today, many lotions, candles, and beauty products are sold under the name “aromatherapy.

How Do You Stop The Stress And Worry?

Stress No Comments »

I recently attended a dinner where a franchise owner of a fast food restaurant spoke. The owner had been in business for several years, 25+, and told of some of the trials she encountered along the way. She was a very engaging speaker and I enjoyed it very much. After she spoke it was question time. A person in the audience was the owner of a one-year old hair salon. Her question was, “How do you go home and not take the stress and worry of the business with you?” The speaker’s answer was, “you always take it home but something that would help is to turn off your cell phone.”

Well, I agree with what she said about turning off the cell phone but there are other processes that came to my mind where the owner might benefit also. Here are some of my thoughts:

Do you have a business plan? If not, start today and put your vision and dreams in writing. It will help you to see the objectives that need to be achieved.

Join a CEO Roundtable group. It helps to meet with others that have the same type of issues.

If no CEO Roundtable, bring in a professional you can trust. Whether it is a business coach, advisor, or financial advisor. Do not hold back on the cost of good advice. They will become your confidante and friend, and will bring good advice and guidance for your business and you personally.

If you do not want professional help, reach out to your local Chamber of Commerce. They usually have a Small Business Center and have access to information that will help you to work through different processes in running a business.

As a business owner, I truly believe in a business plan. I have one for my business also. Mine is not for borrowing money but for giving me guidance as I try to grow my business to the level I have projected. I also have a marketing plan that is in constant state of change. Planning will not stop the stress and the worry, but it will help you to know what your next step is in the process. It helps to have your plans in writing, in your words, and share it with others. They are adaptable to the ever-changing growth and curves in your business. Refer to them frequently (monthly is good, weekly is awesome!). It is unbelievable how many businesses start without a plan. Start today! You have probably heard this—

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!

Listed above are no sure-fire cures for stress and worry but it is a start on knowing what you need to do to accomplish your dreams. If you feel you are not heading in the right direction, modify your initiatives and plans. Dream big and plan to succeed!

2 Reasons To Fake Smiles

Stress No Comments »

Everyone knows what smile is, but not everyone knows what it really means. Smiles can mean lots of things, it can even change your life. Often, not smiling can cause much trouble to us. In contrary, smiling can give you lots of things you could never imagine.

Sometimes we fake smiles, why? It’s obvious that we fake smiles to get what we want. For example, sometimes we fake smiles in front of our business partners to get a deal. Another example, we fake smiles to get some bonus from our bosses. Those examples are the examples of fake smiles for bad, don’t do it.

These are the 2 basic reasons why we fake smiles for good, not for bad:

1. We fake smile to give ourselves some spirit.
We have to fake smiles when we have no spirit, when we are sad, and when we need some spirit to stand up. Fake smiles can give

Most people don’t realize that smiles can be used this way. Even though the smiles might be fake, it really affects our feeling. When we have no spirit, we have to smile. The smile will help us to get some spirit. Most people think that it’s useless even though we smile, but it’s wrong. All you have to do is to open your mouth, stretch your cheeks, show your teeth, and raise your eyebrows. It might be a fake smile in the beginning, then start to put in some feeling in and think about positive things.

If you really put some feeling in, you’ll be able to feel the difference. When you think about positive things, you get even better! Think that everything which has happened can’t be repeated. All we can do is to learn from the mistakes we have done, and try not to do it again next time. At the end, we will have a real smile!

2. We fake smiles to give other people some spirit.
We often see people around us get some problems. They are sad, they have no spirits, and they need us to give them the spirit. Fake smiles is one our weapons to cheer people around us.

Smiles are contagious. When people are happy, they smile, and when we see them smile, we also feel that we are happy too. We could also bring happiness to other people by faking smiles. When we want to give other people some spirit, we should smile. I’m sure that most people would rather choose a smiling person to give them spirit rather than people who don’t smile. How could you get some spirit from people who don’t have spirits. That’s why, we should fake smiles, even if we feel some empathy. We have to show our smiles, to make them feel better!

The point is, fake smiles if you think that it’s for good. Fake smiles first, make real smiles next^^!

Good luck!
