Help For Panic Attacks and Anxiety Disorders
Hi and welcome to Panic Attack Relief.com. We invite you to relax and read the
up to date information that has been gathered just for you. We're positive the
information listed in our articles will help you make an informed decision on
the best course of action for you.
Let's go over two very important definitions:
1. Anxiety - This is a normal reaction usually brought on by some form of
stress. In it's normal to moderate form, Anxiety helps us deal with tense
situations at home, be prepared for an important meeting or even study harder
for a test. Unfortunately, when anxiety becomes an irrational dread of common
everyday situations, it takes on the form of a disabling disorder.
2. Panic Attacks - These are sudden and often times overwhelming surges of fear
that can come without any reason or warning. This type of attack is far more
intense than a feeling of anxiety.
Just about every year 33% of American adults experience at least one panic
attack. This means that panic and anxiety attacks are very common emotional
disorders even more so than schizophrenia, ADHD, different kinds of phobias,
bipolar disorder or even depression. Another startling fact is that sufferers of
anxiety and panic attacks, roughly 1 in 5, never seek or find help for these
debilitating issues. Unfortunately these numbers are on the rise.
Please, check out our article section for information on various forms and
occurrences of these and other disorders.
